Remote
Management Server (RMS)
To provide secure, accurate remote
management of your servers and databases, Blue Gecko uses our
innovative Remote Management Server. The RMS is a small,
single rack unit Linux server that serves as Blue Gecko's secure
interface into your organization's network
Rather than complicating your network with various points of
entry for a remote monitor, Blue Gecko's RMS simplifies the monitoring
process. Simply install the monitoring server on the LAN
where the target services reside, and allow Blue Gecko packet-filtered
IP or VPN access to the RMS server. Blue Gecko then accesses
the RMS exclusively with encrypted protocols such as ssh and https,
ensuring that all traffic is both encrypted and secured to only
our network and yours.
